The Argos from Carl Hamm Geotechnik is a compact, multifunctional probing and sampling rig designed for dynamic core sampling, dynamic probing, auger drilling, and core drilling. The crawler-mounted probing rig is particularly economical and user-friendly: all necessary tools can be carried on the integrated storage areas, and samples can be extracted directly via the mast after drilling. No additional extraction equipment is required. To enhance operator safety, the Argos can be fully controlled by remote control. Thanks to its crawler drive, the rig is ideally suited for geological investigations in difficult and rough terrain.
The various attachments allow a wide range of geological investigations to be carried out flexibly with a single machine. This is particularly advantageous when the terrain and geological conditions on site are not precisely known in advance.
Applications include dynamic probing in accordance with DIN EN ISO 22476-2 (DPM, DPH and DPSH), sampling using the hydraulic hammer, auger drilling with the rotary drilling motor, and core drilling with the core drilling unit. The base unit is pre-equipped for all options and can be expanded as required.
